The centre of gravity should always be in the middle of the container.
Light cargo should be stowed at the front and at the door of the container, heavier cargo in the centre.

Variance in longitudinal direction maximum:
20´DC: 60 cm from the container centre
40´DC: 90 cm from the container centre

Der Schwerpunkt des Containers muss in der Containermitte liegen. Leichte Güter sollten an der Front- und Türseite des Container gestaut werden, schwere in der Mitte.

Please consider the weight limits for inland transport in the countries of loading and discharge and the facilities available to the consignee to unpack the container.

Bitte beachten Sie die Gewichtsbeschränkungen für den Inlandtransport im Be- und Entladeland, sowie die Entlademöglichkeiten des Empfängers.

Please note that the distance between the doorposts and the doors height is smaller than inside the container.

Beachten Sie, dass die Maße zwischen den Türpfosten und die Türhöhe geringer ist als die Innenmaße des Containers.

Out of gauge transports are possible with Opentop Containers, Flatracks and platforms, but obviously these are more expensive.

Transporte mit Übermaß sind möglich mit Opentop- oder Flatrack - Containern, sowie Plattformen, doch diese sind natürlich teurer.

After loading

A copy of the packing list is fixed at an easy visible position inside the container for possible customs checks.
(additionally for Australia & New Zealand: a copy of the sirex certificate (wooden packing materials))

Nach Beladung

Eine Kopie der Packliste soll an einer sichtbaren Stelle innerhalb des Containers für Zollzwecke befestigt sein.
(Bei Australien und Neuseeland auch eine Kopie des Sirexzertifikats (für Verpackungen aus Holz)

Doors should be carefully locked and sealed (e.g. with Boltlock Seal, Tyden Seal, etc.).

Die Türen sollen sorgfältig geschlossen und mit Einwegverschluss / Plombe gesichert werden (z.B. Tyden Seal, Boltlock, etc.)

Old labes should be removed.

Eventuell noch vorhandene alte Label und Aufkleber (insbes. Gefahrgut) müssen entfernt werden.

Mechanical strains:

Cargs needs especially protection against condensation, or rust, mould, caking together of wet cartons, removal of labels, or worst case the collapse of the stow can occur.

Stahlspundwand:
Zur Sicherung von Ladung in Längsrichtung können Holzbalken in die Zwischenräume der gewellten Spundwand verklotzt werden.

Ladunggssicherung durch Verstrebung mit Holzbalken gegen die Eckpfosten.

Make sure the doorframe is wide enough to load the vehicle.
Only load dry vehicles. leave a gap open in the windows to facilitate air circulation
lash the vehicle with ropes on all 4 wheels at the vehicles axles.

Achten sie darauf, daß die Türinnenbreite/-höhe weit genug zur Beladung ist.
Laden Sie nur trockene Fahrzeuge und lassen Sie die Fenster einen Spalt offen um die Luftzirkulation zu unterstützen.
Verzurren Sie das Fahrzeug an den Achsen bei allen 4 Rädern.

Disconnect the batteries and leave only the absoulte minimum of fuel to drive the vehicle out of the container again. (ensure to follow rules in certain countries,i.e. Dangerous goods regulations, etc.)

Klemmen Sie die Batterien ab und lassen sie maximal nur soviel Kraftstoff im Tank wie für die Entladung notwendig. (Beachten Sie auch die Bestimmungen in den jeweiligen Ländern, z.B. Gefahrgutregeln, etc.)

Larger vehicles can be shipped in open top containers or flatracks.

Größere Fahrzeuge können in Opentop- oder Flatrack - Containern verladen werden.

Place wedges in front of and behind all wheels. The wedges should have a minimum height of 1/6 of the wheel diameter)

Keile vor und hinter jedem Rad sollten die Größe von 1/6 des Raddurchmessers haben.
