Static strains: caused by storage and stacking
Dynamic strains: during handling and transport (jolts and vibrations)

Statisch: durch Lagerung und Stapeln
Dynamisch: z.B. durch Beladung und den Tansport (Stöße, Erschütterungen, Vibrationen)

Climatic strains: 

differences in temperature
humidity, moisture, condensation

Cargo needs especially protection against condensation, or rust, mould, caking together of wet cartons, removal of labels, or worst case the collapse of the stow can occur.

Certain types of packing offer the option to lock the package.
